The words ‘Flyover State’ are starting to lose association with Columbus, Ohio. Visitors from all over the U.S. are starting to agree that C-bus is a pretty hip, and a fun place to visit or live. An article from National Geographic gives claim of Millennial Mantle to Columbus, Ohio which  may be attributed to the youth, affordability and the on the go lifestyle of our city.  Columbus Downtown Apartment and Condo dwellers truly have the amenities and benefits of a big city at their finger tips.

From slow drip to latte’s, french press and pour overs there are so many choices when it comes to good coffee in downtown Columbus. If you don’t believe us, just check out the Experience Columbus Coffee Trail  which features 20 downtown coffee roasters, they’ll even give you a free shirt if you visit 4 different locations! We highly suggest a cinnamon roll and iced latte from Fox in the Snow Cafe!

We love our Art!

Whether your passing a building mural, taking a stroll during gallery hop, or spending an afternoon looking at fine art, it’s easy to see art is taking over downtown Columbus. Institutions like Columbus Museum of Art, The Wexner Center, and Pizzuti Collection make the city a cultural hot spot. The Columbus Museum of Art is FREE on Sundays, a great time to get the family together for an afternoon activity.

Central Ohio loves it’s local breweries. Digfest is a major contributor in the introduction of these fine wines and craft brews. The love for the festival as well as the celebration of local liquors and brews has continued to grow in popularity, since it’s first festival in 2011.

We are excited for the 6th annual Digfest to be held in our very own Grandview Yard, at First Avenue Park this Saturday, June 11 from 4-10:30 pm. Residents of Grandview Yard and Grandview Heights look forward to the over 50 makers of craft beer, wine, liquors, and spirits that are involved in this years event. The event is getting bigger and better due to the Grandview and Arlington chamber merger. This will be the first event in which the new Tri-Village Chamber Partnership is presenting.

Entrance and parking for Digfest are free. Parking is available at the Grandview Yard parking garage behind LA Fitness, on the surface lot next to the garage, and in the garage next to the Hofbrauhaus. Drink tickets are $3 each, cash and credit cards are accepted. Samples cost one ticket with full pours at two tickets. The samples give brew connoisseurs a chance to give the beer a try before going for a full pour.
Digfest is a terrific event; even those who do not wish to partake in the sampling of brews can enjoy 15 food vendors, crafts, and live music in a festival setting. Featured music includes DJ Carlo, The High Definitions and Angela Perley and the Howlin’ Moons.

The Arena District restaurant guide features menus from all of their Downtown Columbus featured restaurants, and includes happy hour specials and lunch menus! Check out the Nada lunch menu below. One of our favorite escapes from the work day is the new addition of the Taco Lunchbox! The Taco Lunchbox comes with two tacos, choice of side (the sweet chili glazed fries are amazing!) and a doughnut! Your boss might frown upon an afternoon siesta, so save that for after lunch on a weekend visit!

Buca Di Beppo is yet another Columbus Downtown featured restaurant with a much different vibe. Buca Di Beppo is known for their family style sharing portions shown below. Small portions will feed 2-3 people and the large portions will feed up to 5. Buca Di Beppo is our favorite Friday night date spot for wine and dining. We also love reserving the “pope table” for large parties.
