Columbus Blue Jackets Opening Night + Plaza Party

Friday, October 4 | Nationwide Arena | 3 PM

NHL hockey is officially back—we are so excited for the Columbus Blue Jackets to be back at Nationwide Arena! The Columbus Blue Jackets invite fans to kick off the club’s 2019-20 season by visiting the Opening Night Plaza Party, presented by Nationwide, on Friday, October 4 before the Jackets host the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7 PM. The party on the Front Street plaza starts at 3 PM and game tickets are not required to attend. Fans that do not have game tickets are welcome to enjoy the atmosphere and stay to watch the home opener on large outdoor screens.

Run Like A Girl 2019

A race for women only, Run Like A Girl 2019 is a half-marathon, 10K and 5K along the downtown Columbus waterfront—starting and ending at Genoa Park—with proceeds benefiting the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women initiative to end heart disease and stroke among women. The event also includes a Future Olympian Kids Run for girls age 9 and under. Every participant will receive a generously filled swag bag, and finishers get a medal and a bottle of wine.
